I have a fabulous group of online friends - some I've been fortunate to meet. Shortly after I had little NJ they sent me a huge bouquet of flowers and a little while later a package arrived in the mail including this
Boga Babe play mat as well as three itty bitty preemie sleepers (which they didn't realize are damn near impossible to get here).
I had actually been eyeing the Boga Babe mats long before little NJ was growing in my belly. Its creator, Diane, is a member of the online community I frequent and I remember when she first started the company.
Needless to say, I burst into tears at their thoughtfulness when I ripped open the packing paper.
I don't think I could appreciate how much I'd use the mat in the coming months. The mat (38"x38") is like a duvet cover that can be washed when baby decides to spit up/poop/crush cheesies/drag across the sandbox. No buttons, zippers, or any doodads to nick your little one or pose a cholking hazard (it has an envelope-style cover), it houses a soft quilted inner pad that gives your kiddo a nice soft and cushy buffer between hardwood floors, grass, and dog hair covered couches. Diane has selected a fantastic mix of colours - from stylish and chic to colourful and bold. At $85 each, the mat may seem like a pricey purchase, but given the quality of the fabric, portability, ease of cleaning, and variety of uses, I think it's
certainly worth the investment.
