Well. It certainly has been a while.
Life has been wonderful. And busy. And eventful.
We're moving into a chaotic fall at work. The deadlines and demands are slightly overwhelming, but being crazy-ass busy certainly keeps me efficient and productive. I work at my best when deadlines are tight, expectations are high, and the pressure is on. That said, the eczema has broken out on my left hand which is a sure sign I'm stressed. A lot. Sometimes it's subconscious stress and other times I'm completely aware of it.
On a stress note. I tried yoga for the first time this week. I'm still undecided on how I feel about it. On one hand, I definitely can see its benefit as part of a health/wellness regime. However. I find it in a group setting a little...something. I haven't quite placed what it is I don't like about it. I think I'd like it more doing it solo. Maybe it's just because I have the uncomfortableness of never having done it before. And it's unnatural to me because it's so new. I have a couple of DVDs (Yagatic) that were recommended by a girlfriend. I previewed one at my sister's place. And then I ordered them months ago. Yeah...I haven't even opened them yet. I guess step one to liking yoga is actually making an effort to practice. I get it.
I'm doing some travelling for work in a couple of months. It fortunately coincided well this year and A is able to come to St. John's with me for a few days! I usually travel a few times a year with work and A hasn't ever come with me before, so this'll be a nice change to have some company!
Getting back into the gym again. Their hours have slightly adjusted (not quite to the fall hours, yet, though), so it's a little more feasible to get there in the evenings. We slacked off all summer because A's son was here as well as the hours being crap (they closed at 8 on weekdays and 12-5 on weekends). So back to it. I already feel better, though. It's amazing how it really doesn't take long to start feeling like crap again.
Been incredibly tired lately. It's not even 10:00 pm and I'm ready to call it a night (I'm a 12-1am bedtimer on a work-night, so 10 is a rarity, especially on a weekend). On that note *yawn* I'm totally packing it in. Night y'all.
